Scalloped Hummingbird Plate

This 10-inch serving plate features hummingbirds, leaves and flowers. It is framed by a scalloped edge that accentuates the wildlife, which was painted on the plate with a liquid pigmented clay. The piece was then glazed with a food-safe, satiny glaze and fired again.

This ceramic creation can be displayed empty as a piece of graceful artwork. It can also be used as a serving plate for food.
