Celadon Green is the ideal glaze for a vase with ceramic leaves on its surface. Each leaf is created separately and then pressed into the clay while it is still hardening. The neck of the vase is carved and partially rimmed with the tips of leaves. Living flowers can appear to emerge from this vase organically, or the pottery can stand empty as a decorative sculpture. It is about 9 inches tall.
I frequently recreate this vase, because it is a popular item. However, each one is unique because the leaves vary in size and shape as they are carefully fitted onto the wall of the vase, one by one.
