Hummingbirds in the Morning

 This rounded vase covered with hummingbirds is the only piece in the  "Rainbow Vase" collection that has a clear shiny glaze on the outside of its walls. This glaze deepens the colors on the vessel and emphasizes the transition between the green on the lower part and the bright yellow at the top. Even the orange flowers seem to glow in the morning sun. As with the other vases in this collection, the background colors blend into one another so subtly it is hard to define where one color ends and a new color begins.
