Where a dancer's hands bring clay to life

This small vase features a bluebird in flight. It is about 4.5 inches tall  with an opening large enough to hold a little bouquet. This size vase can add a delightful accent to any room of the home. In order to make the open, dancing shape, I carved into the vase before the clay dried, and stretched out the sides. 

My passion for bluebirds began when I lived with a family of Eastern Bluebirds for several years in a Connecticut meadow. One became so tame he would land on my hand when I called him.
