Where a dancer's hands bring clay to life

This vase was named more after the dots than the dance. But its whirling motif brings it into the world of dance, where a pirouette is a rapid turn, usually performed multiple times. Because many of my vases are made on a potter's wheel and are actually turned into existence, I was intrigued by the idea of a vase that conveys the sensation of turning.

Thus began a series of tall vases  (height range 15-17 inches) that are designed to hold living flowers but are sometimes more compelling as a centerpiece sculpture.

This particular vase is part of a private collection in the Gramercy Park Area in NYC.  Other Pirouette Vases are available at my  online shop
